Kurt Kroemer is the Chief Operating Officer at Humanity United, where he oversees the Information Technology, Human Resources, and Finance functions. He also works with the senior leadership team to formulate and implement the strategic priorities of the organization.  Prior to Humanity United, Kurt served as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.

Previous to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Kurt held several executive positions at the national headquarters of the American Red Cross in the Government Relations Department, Biomedical Services, and the Office of the President and CEO. Kurt began his career with the General Accounting Office (now the Government Accountability Office) where he led investigations into a myriad of issues directed by members of Congress and its committees. He was awarded the Comptroller General’s Award, that office’s highest award for management excellence.   

Kurt holds bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and a master’s degree in international affairs from the School of International Service, American University.
