Humanity United and our partners are working together for a durable end to mass atrocities in our lifetime. Our approach prioritizes supporting rule of law and good governance, building the capacity of civil society and independent media, and pushing for international engagement to stop or prevent atrocities.

24 Hours for Darfur
A project of Res Publica, 24 Hours for Darfur is a video advocacy and education campaign working to end the crisis in Darfur. Humanity United partnered with the campaign to document human rights abuses and for event support.

Aegis Trust
Aegis Trust works with governmental, non-governmental, educational, and academic institutions on genocide research, prevention policies, and awareness. Humanity United provided core operating support to the organization, and operating support for the Kigali Memorial Center in Rwanda.

Africa Faith and Justice Network (AFJN)
The AFJN is a community of advocates in favor of responsible U.S. relations with Africa. Humanity United partnered with AFJN on initiatives related to northern Uganda.

BBC World Service Trust
BBC World Service Trust is the British Broadcasting Corporation’s international charity, which uses media and communications to reduce poverty and promote human rights. The trust, Humanity United, and the International Center for Transitional Justice partnered for a two-year project to increase understanding among journalists in five African countries on the complexities of transitional justice, and how to effectively communicate these issues with their audiences.

Benetech
Benetech creates new technology solutions that serve humanity and empower people to improve their lives. Humanity United supports Benetech’s initiative to assess the human-rights-documentation capacity of non-governmental organizations working in Darfur, Sudan.

Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, Harvard University
Carr Center is committed to making human rights principles central to the formulation of good public policy in the United States and throughout the world. Humanity United partnered with the Center on the Mass Atrocity Response Operations Project, which aims to equip the United States, other states, and regional and international organizations to respond effectively to genocide and mass atrocity when directed by national leadership.

Carter Center: Liberia Program
Carter Center currently works to strengthen the post-conflict rule of law in Liberia, and partners with grassroots civil society organizations to educate citizens and increase access to justice in underserved rural communities. Humanity United helped to expand the program’s successful initiative and increase rural access to legal support services.
